Recognizing social challenges, giving something back

The Wilfried and Martha Ensinger Foundation has a mission to provide long-term support for social, scientific and cultural projects.

Wilfried and Martha Ensinger’s commitment to Ensinger, the family firm they founded, always went hand in hand with support for people in Germany and abroad. As long ago as the seventies, the Ensingers launched their first aid projects in Brazil. A large number of other activities followed after the Wilfried Ensinger Foundation was established in 1997. The majority of the projects – including building schools in developing countries and supporting cultural activities and educational institutions in Germany – have been supported for many years and are largely aimed at helping children and young people.

Wilfried Ensinger received the Federal Cross of Merit in 2005 for his achievements as an entrepreneur and a donor. He and his wife were also jointly awarded the Pontifical Order of Pope Saint Sylvester.
Martha Ensinger passed away on 27 June 2017 after a serious illness. To honour her commitment to charitable causes, the foundation’s name has been changed to the Wilfried and Martha Ensinger Foundation.
